The beginnings of EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH were in 1991 when on September 1 the company emerged from the former Chemieanlagenbaukombinat Leipzig-Grimma (CLG) becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of EDELEANU Gesellschaft mbH Alzenau (RWE).
The Leipzig office, what is today EDL, was taken over on January 1, 2003 by the globally acting Pörner Group (Austria) thus continuing Leipzig´s long tradition in plant engineering.
In September 2016 EDL celebrated its 25th company anniversary.
The impressive record of implemented projects and the many satisfied customers are the best proof of the company’s performance. The fact that after German reunification EDL has evolved into an internationally recognized plant engineering company and the permanent development of process know-how open up numerous opportunities for the future.
The anniversary brochure „25 years EDL“ does not only describes recent project highlights, but also the comprehensive technology portfolio. Since a number of years EDL has been investing in the development of own technologies for innovative and tailored solutions, e. g. to produce high-quality products such as base oils, waxes and lubricants.
By this time, EDL can provide for lubricant refineries a consistent process chain from distillation through to the end product. Further information about technologies can be taken here or from the EDL brochure, page 6 ff.
EDL is a specialized and innovative service provider for the process industry in Germany and internationally, with its main focus on refinery, chemical, petrochemical and gas sector clients as well as special-purpose technologies (business areas).
EDL has built a first-rate reputation in the process industry, as a reliable and competent partner for the planning and construction of complete plants and plant units. In the last few years EDL has demonstrated its expertise in refinery revamps with over 40 large-scale projects.
