On the occasion of the 18th Industry Working Group Meeting “Cooperation in Plant Engineering” EDL will read a paper on the subject „Revamps in process plant engineering – a challenge for engineer, installer and operator”.
The meeting organized by Fraunhofer IFF Magdeburg will take place on Nov. 8, 2012 and offers a platform to decision-makers of this branch of industry to frankly, diversely, probably also controversially discuss current plant engineering topics and to jointly look for solution possibilities.
This years’ event is hosted by TOTAL Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland GmbH in Leuna and is titled “Success factors for efficient construction and installation management in plant engineering”.
What competence is required by an installation company, what qualifications shall an installation engineer have? What are the methods, techniques and tools to successfully manage construction and installation work? What best practice solutions already exist?
To this end EDL will report on its long-term and extensive experience in executing revamp projects and its close cooperation between operating and installation companies.
