Knowing the Russian market

In the past few years the Pörner Group has successfully undertaken a number of jobs in the states of the Russian Federation, mainly for Russian refineries. The Biturox^® plant for the OJSC "Novoshakhtinsk Refinery" in the Rostov-on-Don district will be finalized in the next few weeks. In addition the OAO "TAIF-NK" in Nizhnekamsk, Slavneft in Yaroslavl and ministry of road construction in Chelyabinsk have been successfully running Biturox^® plants of the Pörner Group.

The Conference „Bitumen 2013“ that occured in Moscow on November, 19^th 2013 offered the perfect platform to intensify existing contacts as well as to get acquainted to new one. Albert Traxler, Dimitry Starov and Christian Opitz represented the Pörner Group there.

With more than 40 Biturox^® licences the Pörner Group is the world’s number one when it comes to the Biturox^® technology. As much as 10% of the global bitumen is produced by Pörner Biturox^® plants. The Pörner experts are familiar with the special climatic conditions in Russia. Paving asphalt using Biturox^® bitumen as binder shows less fatigue and promotes profitability in road construction by higher resistance to the great temperature differences in Russia. And what is more, the Biturox^® bitumen meets all Russian and international quality standards, such as  EN 12591 or GOST 22245-90.

About the conference

To rerun the success of the year before the event took place in the elegant ambiance of the Hotel “Baltschug Kempinski Moscow”. CREON Energy, leading consultant of the oil & gas, petrochemical as well as chemical Russian industry organized the event again.

Beside interesting lectures on important themes like international quality standards for road paving bitumen, volatility on the Russian bitumen market, the influence of binder components to the improving of bitumen quality, etc. there was enough time for the interchange of ideas, opinions and views.

The Pörner Group will attend “Bitumen 2014” certainly.
