Saxon State Minister for Economic Affairs, Martin Dulig, visited Russia in the period from 17 to 21 October 2016. He was accompanied by a 41-member delegation of representatives from Saxony's politics and business, among them also Dr. Michael Haid, CEO of EDL.
The aim of the trip to the Samara region was to deepen existing contacts and establish new ones with companies in the region. Less focus was put on pure export business, but rather on the cooperation between Russian and Saxon companies.
In addition to talks with representatives of leading companies, there was also a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Samara region, Sergey Bezrukov. It was agreed with him to support EDL in expanding the cooperation with local companies. Furthermore, the delegation visited the Samara State Technical University. During this visit Dr. Haid was informed about the development of catalysts for desulfurization of diesel and gasoline.
