Unfortunately, this year we have to do without public running events, but since our employees do not want to miss running, Pörner came up with a new idea. According to the Corona motto “Together alone”, the first Pörner Virtual Run took place on September 26th, 2020.
All 22 participants ran 5 km without being tied to a place or time. It didn’t matter where they were, be at 8 am on the beach, lunchtime in the Vienna Prater or afternoon in Kundl, Tyrol. Pörner employees can’t be stopped – not even by Corona. It took 22 minutes and 42 seconds for the first participant to reach the goal of 5 km.
The focus of the running event was set on having fun, but we also unleashed the competitive spirit and are looking forward to next year’s run.
