EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH is member of the network of the Pörner Group.

It is a specialized and innovative service provider for the process industry in Germany and internationally, with its main focus on refinery, chemical, petrochemical and gas sector clients as well as special-purpose technologies  (business areas).  

EDL has built a first-rate reputation in the process industry, as a reliable and competent partner for the planning and construction of complete plants and plant units. In the last few years EDL has demonstrated its expertise in refinery revamps  with over 40 large-scale projects.
 

EDL provides the full range of services of a plant engineering and plant construction company from one source: conceptual design, planning and construction of turn-key plants through to commissioning of industrial plants with challenging technical processes are but to name a few.
 

In 1991 EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH became a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDELEANU Gesellschaft mbH Alzenau (RWE Group)) and in January 2003 it was taken over by the globally operating Pörner Group (Austria), and so Leipzig’s 70-year-old tradition of plant engineering and construction lives on. Since 2020, EDL has a new location in Cologne to support industry in the Rhine-Ruhr area with engineering services in all diciplines.
